Bluffdale borders Draper on the east, so it's about as close as a city gets to our office. It's a mix of newer subdivisions and larger lots, and we work with homes on city water and homes on their own wells.
Around Bluffdale
Bluffdale takes its name from its bluffs and dales, and it's still surrounded by wide open space, with views of both the Wasatch and the Oquirrh mountains. The Jordan River runs through town, seven of the valley's irrigation canals start at the Jordan Narrows here, and part of the city even crosses into Utah County.
City Hall and Bluffdale City Park sit side by side on 14400 South, and Wardle Fields Regional Park on 2700 West is a 40-acre county park with a 25-foot watchtower, zip lines and a splash pad. Porter Rockwell Boulevard connects I-15 with the Mountain View Corridor.
Bluffdale's Water
Bluffdale City says its culinary water is provided by the Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District. Jordan Valley lists its water at about 170 mg/L, or 10 grains per gallon, which is in the hard range.
Some Bluffdale properties have their own wells instead. Nobody treats that water before it reaches the tap, so iron stains, a sulfur smell or extra hardness are up to the homeowner to sort out, and the only way to know what's there is a test.
