Lindon is a smaller city between Pleasant Grove and Orem, served from our Draper office. Its water comes from springs in the mountains just to the east and from wells in town.
Around Lindon
Lindon started out as "String Town," because its houses were strung along the road between Orem and Pleasant Grove. Its current name comes from an old linden tree that grew in town in 1901, spelled a little differently, and the city still goes by the motto "Lindon: a little bit of country."
State Street runs through the middle of town, past Lindon City Park at 200 North and the Lindon Aquatics Center a few blocks away. Pheasant Brook Park sits on the west side at 400 North and 800 West, the Murdock Canal Trail crosses the city, and the Dry Canyon Trailhead leads up into the mountains to the east.
Lindon's Water
Lindon City says its drinking water comes from springs east of the city and wells throughout the city.
Spring and well water are both groundwater, and groundwater usually carries hardness minerals. That's what leaves white crust on faucets and scale in water heaters.
Getting the Most From Your Water in Lindon
Lindon's spring and well water is hard, like most groundwater in the area. If you'd rather not carry salt, a salt-free conditioner is an option for protecting pipes and your water heater from scale. If you want truly soft water and spot-free glass, a salt-based softener is still the better choice.
Water Softener and Water Treatment in Lindon
For Lindon homes we usually start with a water test and a water softener sized to your household. A Salt-Free Water Conditioner is an option if you'd rather skip salt.
