Millcreek only became a city on December 28, 2016, though most of its neighborhoods were built out decades earlier. It's organized into four community councils, Canyon Rim, East Mill Creek, Millcreek and Mount Olympus, and many residents still use a Salt Lake City mailing address, because that's the Postal Service's default place name here.
Our office on 3900 South is a short trip from Millcreek Common on Chambers Avenue, Canyon Rim Park at 3100 South, Olympus Hills Shopping Center and the Big Cottonwood Regional Park area at 4300 South and 1300 East. If you live anywhere in between, you're as close to us as it gets.
Where Millcreek's Water Comes From
Much of Millcreek is served by Salt Lake City Public Utilities, which says the lakes and streams in its watershed provide nearly 60 percent of the drinking water for about 360,000 people in Salt Lake City, Cottonwood Heights, Holladay, Millcreek and parts of unincorporated Salt Lake County. The city adds deep wells in summer and says that well water is harder.
Its 2026 Drinking Water Quality Report measured its three canyon treatment plants at about 8.0, 10.2 and 12.4 grains per gallon, and its wells and springs at about 9.6 up to 33.4. Anything over 10.5 grains per gallon is considered very hard.
